Description EDIT: Touch-ups applied on 9/13/2015

Incoming message from Tucson: I'm alive! Yeeeeeey! We still don't have Internet, but Silym is letting me borrow her laptop down in the apartment lounge. So I'll try to post my art when I can, but it'll be a while before I start replying to messages. Sowwy. ]:

Did this the other day. I drew the sketch for it about a week or so ago and decided to finish it. I got pretty carried away with the background, but I totally like how it turned out. Making your own BGs is so satisfying. You should try it. <3

Some obvious anatomy problems. I was trying to make it look all 3D and cool-looking. I had fun with it, so that's all that matters, right?

I think the thumbnail looks cool because it sorta looks like Supes is climbing out of a dark hole in the ground. I wish I thought of drawing that before finishing this. D;

Never-ending Superman fanart, indeed. I seriously don't know why he, as well as Batman and some other DC characters, are the only things I want and have been wanting to draw this past month. What does this meeeeaaaaannnnn?

"Somebody - STOP MEH!" ~ The Mask

BTW, no comments on his equipment please. It was an accident. *Sigh.*

This is brilliant! The DC fan fiction website I write for is about to launch a new family of Superman titles and I'd love to get your permission to use this as a cover for one of the issues?

Magnificent! I especially like the shading on this beautiful piece here! Nice to see an artist do the World's First Super-Hero justice! And I can't help but use infinite facepalm on the silly Bleach/Superman argument. Dummass anime fanboys who like to overpower thieir characters, thinking a random morron would stand a chance against the Man of Steel...
Besides, it's a matter of principle. You can't dethrone The First Super-Hero just like that! I quote you: "The spirit of the Man of Steel stands for something special. His purpose reaches beyond the fictional realm. He's an international icon, and the meaning of his existence is that, which enough tenacity and belief, he may prevail."

Ah, dammit! Here I go ranting! Sorry! Still, the drawing is great and you're even greater!

Oh noooo, this picture is so old and suuuuucks. Dx Nevertheless, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the piece, buddy.

I still feel like that person was trolling me, but I dunno, lol. But yeah, some people just aren't aware of how powerful/important of a character the Man of Steel really is. Others refuse to believe that a boyscout like Superman is at the helm of some of fiction's all-time coolest story arcs (and is a best-seller). Could it be possible that Superman isn't as boring or as irrelevant as some people like to assume?

I also like to rant. Have at it whenever you feel the urge. :]

With all due respect, you're just spewing bullcrap. The drawing is excellent, I see no problems with it. Though artists always think that they can do better, which is a good thing

Thanks for understanding. I don't see how could someone not like him just because he has so much power. The fact that he's forced to fight extremely powerful threats keeps the stories balanced. And besides what's wrong with having a super hero who's NOT moody, angsty and is just a good guy (I'm lookin' at you Bruce). Hell, the fact that he always uses all that power to help others, instead of becoming like the Superman we saw on Injustice, is something I can't help but admire. I may not be a fan, but I do respect the original, the one hero that started it all.

He'd be dead in two seconds. Killing him like a llama.

Even worse, he'd die in a millisecond.

Harseik In reply to ViciousPancakez [2014-07-04 03:22:26 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I see. I guess Ichigo is invulnerable, can brush off planetary explosions, move almost as fast as the speed of light, shoot lasers so tiny they can slip through a person's eye and lobotomize them, and even lift 200,000,000,000,000,000,000 (quintillion) tons. Pretty neat, that Ichigo. ;]

Isn't Superman's key to his crystal home like half a million tons? Since you said Ichigo can lift a quintillion tons he can obviously lift his key.

Basically Ichigo would just enter his home like ---|>

Well dude you made me look like a poopnugget with all that writing XD. But I'm pretty sure Ichigo is half human and half spirit which would mean if his human part is gone (which is what I heard from my friends also) also if Ichigo was in DC Universe he'd most likely hear about the famous kryptonite and use it on Superman so Ichigo still has a chance.

This is also why I stopped loving Superman all the time one because they made the most overpowered character in DC Universe, really isn't that fun that Superman gets pinned down all the time and gets back up like a badass in a speedo.

Please don't get me wrong, I completely respect you c:

(ya that's right I was one of those Superman fanboys in one of those Superman underwears)

+EDIT

Also the show Bleach looks pretty satanic the fact that Ichigo looks like some kind of demon he'd also probably win. (I'm not some illuminati guy or something XD, I'm saying that Ichigo could also trick Superman.

...

Well'p. Here goes nothing.

So... you decided to link examples from the cartoons and, uh... Smallville? The creators of the DCAU purposely suppressed Superman's abilities to keep the show fresh and balanced. As for Smallville, that wasn't even his full strength being exhibited. Smallville's Clark Kent was shown to be so powerful that he can move planets. The comics, however, display feats so incredible, it's almost difficult to wrap one's mind around it.

I read up on Ichigo and it appears that he's, at the most, a mountain buster in his Final Getsuga Tensho, meaning that he can destroy a mountain and possibly survive a similarly powerful force, as logic dictates. I hate to say this, but a mountain buster against a planet/galaxy buster is simply not fair game.

Heck, Superman is beyond that of a planet buster. He is so powerful that - get this - his punches shatter DIMENSIONS. www.quirkbooks.com/sites/defau…
i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc… Meaning he can alter reality just by punching it hard enough. We as humans can't even imagine the physical power it would take to do that.

Superman's stamina is limitless due to his solar-powered biology, meaning that he never gets tired or breaks a sweat. He doesn't need to eat, sleep, or even breathe. He has an advanced healing factor that excels Wolverine's, and it's even faster depending on how much solar energy he's absorbed.

static.comicvine.com/uploads/i… <- This is Superman moving so fast that he can utilize wormholes to travel through space. In this Superman is moving at 6 octillion times light speed (which is downright impossible).

I've been trying to find the scans to this particular scenario, but I can only find bits and pieces. You can take it from me though. Superman fought against a magical foe called Etrigan (magic is one of his weaknesses, btw). Etrigan managed to hit him so hard that he was rocketed all the way to the surface of the moon. Supes simply shook off the blow and flew right back down to earth to resume the fight.

i12.photobucket.com/albums/a23… <- Superman caused this explosion when he was thrown into the earth. He was unharmed by the attack.  i12.photobucket.com/albums/a23…

Just off the top of my head: Supes has zapped an army of imperfect Doomsdays into dust, has survived a supernova explosion, has flown into the heart of the sun goodness knows how many times, can move many times faster than the speed of light (found that out recently), can see the entire electromagnetic spectrum, has genius-level intellect, can spot out pressure point with his x-ray vision, has scanned the entire earth with his advanced eyesight and decided the coast was clear, and has hearing so acute that he can hear anything across the planet.

But in conclusion, the whole purpose of the character of Superman is that he has no limits. If the plot dictates it, he can do quite literally anything if he pushes himself enough. He can't be measured or given a power level, which is why I look at people sideways when they decide to start any Superman VS debates. I mean, I'm fine with it, because that's what being a comic fan is all about, but the spirit of the Man of Steel stands for something special. His purpose reaches beyond the fictional realm. He's an international icon, and the meaning of his existence is that, which enough tenacity and belief, he may prevail.

Here, have a cool song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-gdmX… <3

I love the Superman art you do. It's so dynamic and refreshing! I love the pose here, and the implied power in Supe's stance.

Personally, I don't see too many mistakes with the anatomy -but that's probably because it's not really my forte. My only real qualm that the BG is a little too painterly, and as a result sort of clashes with Superman's crisp, defined form. But still, you're working on environments, and that's always a good thing.

Hope Tuscon's treating you well.

OH NOEZ! You drew him wearing his "Exile"/Fleischer/"Our Worlds at War"/SUPERMAN RETURNS colors! How could you show such hatred and disrespect to Superman by not drawing him in neon-bright colors, you horrible, horrible man?

Kidding, kidding. This looks great. Superman as a super-confident warrior ready to kick ass and take names is something I never get tired of (and wish all the live-action movies had done instead of watering him down at every turn).
