So this is Opal just laying in a bed of Coral and looking to the surface ^^ I spent a lot of time working on this so I hope you guys like the results!! I will be making a speed painting for this probably tonight and tomorrow but IDK when I will have it up @_@
I am LOVING the affects that I can do in Manga Studio! ^^ I am learning new things as I play in my program so I hope that my art looks good!
(I went a little crazy with the sparkles again...derp!)
But I am rather please with how this come out!!!
I will probably post the actual print of the cover a different day...

Now then I'll start by saying you have done a spectacular job with the overhead view. Often this pose poses a threat for most artists and you just conquered this. The way how her arms curved to the view is natural and my eyes could make out the depth of the character from above. So far I've not seen any anatomical errors... well guess being a mermaid has its advantages. X)
I was pretty shocked to see... erm... it's nothing bad but she's going commando there but this is alright. I was a bit concerned with the exposure though... =u=
Ignoring the unless tidbit, I like the moderate amount of detail here, especially her lower torso,hair, and eyes. The bubbles are nice touches without being in the way of this beauty. I like to think of this image as some sort of a dreamy sequence.
You really have outdone yourself!

I really appreciate the effort of you writing this message to me, you have no idea how happy it makes me!
I know that I am not perfect when it comes to anatomy and I know that their are some errors here...but I like how I gave it my all on this one! I never show a lot of depth in my pictures and if you look through most of my gallery, this on is the only one that has that amazing depth!
If I was more confident in my anatomy and backgrounds, I would do more pictures like this! <3

As far as the exposure, I tried to give her a scaley effect. Instead of how we view most mermaids with shell bra's, I was trying to have their (being more than just her) scales be their..."censoring" XD I hope that made sense ^_^;

I'm happy to do this one because this, honestly, stood out over the rest of your gallery. You're a great artist, but this one is my instant favorite coming from you.
Nobody is perfect with anatomy, even I sometimes make mistakes which is an afterthought. Like you, I also strive to improve that area and trying something more dynamic. Still a long ways to go for me.
Hey I'm alright with that. If nobody is complaining, you're doing something fine. I'm not complaining, I find it unusual. I'm used to see them in bras... and don't get any wrong idea of me as a pervert. xD

This is true! Because I want to improve! I just need o practice more as you said. I am just not entirely sure where to start you know? Because I am still fighting with the style I want to stick with. Although it seems like for the past year I have been consistent with my eyes and such. Maybe I should put all of my pictures together in a chart so I can look at the and look for similarities and things I need to work on??

Uwahh! It looks so amazing with all the details and shading added into it! It's so amazing~~ Trust me, the effects are just right! It makes you focus more on the whole canvas more than just parts of it. I'm happy you're glad with how it turned out even after all the time you put into the sketching! And after watching the speedpaint, I can't imagine how much time you put into all the colouring and shading!Β Β
