"What died in that room, was not that woman...but, that last part of me that was...human."This was taken in New Orleans, Louisiana during Mechacon 2011. We were right on the River-walk. I was so happy to be able to do this costumes here in my home state.
I love and miss Louisiana terribly. There is a smell, and feel that you can only have there.
I love this photo. I wanted to do it off of a ledge, but there was no ledge near by.
Louis was a very emotional character to play. But it was very fun. I got to whine, and throw tantrums, and give my Lestat the 'Mom Hand' Which we sadly, got no photos of.
Was so awesome and patient with us even though I kept having mental breakdowns (I blame the stress of the con, and the fact that I was Louis).
A very fun con all together.

Wow, this is the best Louis cosplay I've seen! I really love the earthy tones. I love the lacy collar too. Is that a shirt? or just a collar? And are you wearing any makeup?

Well there is a lacy shirt, but it's mostly the cravat that I made that you are seeing here.
Yes! I am wearing clown white make up (the sticky thick stuff from your local costume shop) lots of white setting powder, and blue pencil for the veins on my face (which you can't really see here.)

I was going for 'Plantation Louis' not 'Night out' Louis which I will do soon.
My Lestat however is wearing an extravagant coat in the photos that are soon to come out.

I have. And I would be happy to. I'm not sure if you believe in things like this, but Louisiana Graves, especially the ones in New Orleans are very haunted, and I am sensitive to things like that.
Not to mention with all of the thieves, and gangs that are around them at night. It was just to dangerous to take them there. Lestat and I may do some in the future in a grave yard we trust.
