Well, it started as a simple 'cleaning mission', but when Roughshod and Flower entered the laboratory, which was destroyed by a dark energon explosion, they were attacked by infected cables. Flower got one right in the face and when the two 'cons tried to get rid of them, they went right for their spark chambers. The hippie-con got the glorious idea to link himself with the creature, so he could stop it. As soon as he linked with it, the creature took over the control and RS was on his own, slicing the cables into pieces so they wouldn't get either him nor Flower. However, the cables were too many, so RS soon had to decide to either cut the link between Flower and the cables and risk a short circuit in Flowers processor, or to still try his best to keep their spark chambers untouched. Flower sensed that and tried to keep RS from cutting the link and not a second to late he managed to critically damage the creatures mental core and both were saved. Well more or less, Flower is temporarily blinded and Roughshod is heavily injured from the attacks of the cables, which tried to dig through their armor. Flowers optics locked up when he deactivated the mutation and he can only look at a 'screenshot' of the last thing he was able to see, which was Roughshod sitting beside him, heavily damaged by the dark-energon-cable-mutation, also Roughshod can't move, so Flower has to carry him, while RS tells him where to walk. Oh and Flowers optics are currently purple, not red.
