Nkosi felt strange about the loss of his girl. Not that he'd say he'd fallen in love with her, they didn't knew each other long enough for such strong feelings, but like all of his lionesses she was special for him and it hurt to see her like that. The blood drying on her dark pelt, the emotionless face, it simply hurt. He started to carefully clean her body from blood and dirt before he softly touched her head with his muzzle. Then he left her body to the vultures.
