Description OVER IT!!! lol...combined cell shading and cut&gradient techniques...honestly still don't know what the hell i'm doing when it comes to coloring...mostly cuz i never know what colors to use...i'm more into lines, shapes, yada yada yada...anyways, so over working on this...hahaha...brain is literally starting to hurt

awww...thanks...but i really can't take all the credit for the design...i just went through a whole bunch of other people's takes on Anubis, picked bits and pieces i liked, and mushed them all together...that's pretty much how i operate...

Yeah I'm a noob colorist my self. You do have great shadows here though. I like that gray to white on the skin, and what ever you did to the background, it rocks.

thanks yeah, i don't really "think in color" when it comes to drawing...i'm more about lines, shapes, and composition...i'm starting to finally grasp shadow and depth so that's why at this point cell shading seems to be the easiest technique to use to color...but, eh, practice practice practice

There are some issues here, but you are improving quite fast. I really like the design of your Anubis. His braids are nice and the "mummy" wrapping is a nice touch. You can see the areas you cut and pasted smoke effect though. (Those harsh vertical line of white) make sure you post a black and white version in your gallery as well, i wouldn't mind taking a stab at it.

thanks i actually used different smoke brushes...maxed out the pixel sizes and stamped 'em...tried to get rid of the straight edges with a soft eraser but i guess i missed some...haha...and the line art is posted and open for download so by all means take a stab at it...kill it if u must...lol...thanks again for the feedback and the kind words in your BA Rundowns
