Another drawing/painting I made for my art course. It turned out quite well, so I decided to put it here. C:

This time the task was to design an item for someone. By "someone" I mean some character from a movie or from a book or something like that. I ended up drawing the key of Howl's moving castle. Everyone, who has seen it can remember the moving castle's door that had the ability to open to different places. In the movie itself there wasn't any key and so my idea was to draw a key that could have been in it.

I made the pencil draft look quite simple. As you can see, I designed two gear-like shapes to make it look like a part of the castle (that also has a ton of gears). Then that middle part of the bigger "gear" is somekind of formation of my two ideas.... at first I wanted to make something similar to that switch-thing above that door, but then I thought it could also be somekind of a steam pressure gauge. Soo that part ended up like that and I'm not sure which one it is... WHATEVER.

I coloured this with watercolours, using very bright colours so it would fit for it's owner, Howl. He wears fancy clothes, jewellerly and other conceited stuff, so I think this key is quite fitting for him, but also for the castle.

And yes, the teacher gave me A from the course. C:
