Not entirely happy with how this drawing went XD but oh well.

Congrats to for finally completing that game.... even though the combat in it was freaking terrible.

I really liked the plot. But only after I got to think about it a fair bit XD It was confusing.

Here is my basic plot summary:
(As I understand it at least - Sorry it's long XD)

The entire game is Jennifer trying to come to terms with her traumatic memories.

Her parents died in an airship crash. When she was about 8.
Jennifer was the only survivor. she was found by Gregory (Later known as stray dog)
He has recently lost his son (presumed dead) and has gone slightly insane because of this. He takes Jennifer to his home and dresses her in his dead son Joshua's clothing, believing she is him.
A while later Wendy walks by the window to Jennifer's room in the basement and they begin passing letters between one another.
They become friends.
Wendy invites Jenifer to be her prince of the rose. (As Wendy is known as the Princess of the rose) Jennifer accepts and they run away together to the Rose Garden Orphanage where Wendy is living with all the other children.

Wendy has been telling the children at the orphanage scary stories about "Stray dog" before Jennifer's arrival. Saying that he kills children etc.
The other children where scared so they anointed her Princess of the rose.

Jennifer then finds a small puppy. She calls it Brown. She becomes great friends with this dog, and Wendy becomes insanely jealous.
Wendy tells the other children to be horrible to Jennifer in the hopes that she would come back to Wendy and leave Brown. It does not work.

Wendy then loses it and along with the other children kills Brown. (Yes, really kills him)
When Wendy reveals it was her who killed him Jennifer repeatedly slaps her and says she will never forgive her. Wendy leaves crying and in disgrace. The other children then make Jennifer the princess of the Rose.

Meanwhile Wendy goes to Gregory dressed as his son and is able to manipulate him into going to the orphanage and killing all of the children except Jennifer.
When Wendy gives Jenifer Gregory's pistol and reveals she is not his son he drags her inside the orphanage and kills her also.

When he then confronts Jenifer he yet again mistakes her for his son. He apologies to her then commits suicide after all he has done.

The scenes we see after are completely symbolic. Jennifer leaving the other children and Wendy locked away in the orphanage. Playing as they used to when she was there. She says "I’m sorry everyone. You don’t deserve to be forgotten… But I’ll remember you. Thank you all for the precious memories.”

Then her going to the shed to see brown making the same promise she made to Wendy "Everlasting true love I am yours" and saying "I'll protect you... Forever and ever until I die." she locks the shed door symbolizing her keeping his memory forever in herself.

That's basically it. As to why we see Jennifer as a woman, It's because that's how she sees herself. I hope this helps clear things up for some people. But it is all complete speculation as no real answers are ever given in the game
