Okay I am a little confused...I am CANADIAN and an artist...WHAT THE HECK IS A1, A2, and A3 and A the rest of the numeric system? Like in inches, how big are we talking about ...the size of the paper?...Maybe I should google this bcz I nvr heard of that paper in my life until I started watching your artwork.

haha well A4 is your average printer sized paper, double that is A3, double A3 is A2 and so on, theres also B sizes too but your average paper is usually in the A section. Glad you asked though! When I first encountered the system it was confusing. the idea of the number going lower as the paper gets bigger is so strange!

not as big as most of my lecturers would like me to draw. they want A1 or bigger :/

Aiko-Hirocho In reply to hatefueled [2008-06-11 13:54:10 +0000 UTC]

A1? dang the biggest I drew was in A2 you guys must have big desks to work on them

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hatefueled In reply to Aiko-Hirocho [2008-06-11 14:05:30 +0000 UTC]

no we're not supposed to sit while drawing/painting. we're encouraged to stand so we can keep stepping back and looking at it from a distance and so we don't limit ourselves or something. so we pin work to boards on aisles or to the wall.
