When I say it's Trigun with tits I'm basically saying that Rushuna is basically Vash without an Apocalypse revolver.
The anime pretty much follows a slightly watered down story that is identical to Trigun.
So Grenedier is the light-hearted pervy version of Trigun, and Trigun is the dystopic, depressed older brother.

Having watched both, I don't really have any gripes with either. As far as rip-offs go I can't really find much wrong with Grenadier, but that was a long time ago and honestly I was watching it for tits.

Yeah, sounds about right. But yeah, that was my real introduction into the world of anime. I still watch it on occasion, It was a good start.
I watched that and Gungrave at the same time. Loved Gungrave too. Bought the video game because I loved the anime so much, and boy was that hard to find...
Wish Grenadier had gotten a sequel or a game, that would have been awesome.
