Description Well, here I am again.  I got my two-seater variant knocked out!  I always dread it, I always seem to knock it out quickly.  Yeah, some would consider it a cop-out just to extend the fuselage length, but really that's often what just happens when designing two-seat models.  So, with that, I decided to lay out some of the variants of the F-371 that make up the backbone of the UTAN fighter force.

F-371A-1 The initial launch model.  Accepted into service on 12. July 2488, only 48 were operational during the Attack On Sirius on 28. July 2488.  24 were assigned to the U.S.S. Victory CC-12412 and 24 to the U.S.S. Constitution CC-12413.

F-371A-5 The first official variant was launched by Gordon Dynamics in February 2490.  System updates and the addition of native external hardpoints were pushed with this batch after receiving many reports from the front lines concerning the needs of the fleet and successful field-expedient modifications that had greatly grown the Talon's lethality.

F-371C-1 The "Strike Talon" is the culmination of hundreds, even thousands of reports and requests from the field for a dedicated strike-fighter.  Up to this point, home-brewed system patches have allowed the A-1 and A-5 talons to begin using modified anti-ship missiles.  The C-1 makes this functionality native and pushes a purpose-designed missile for use with it.  Compatible updates would also be pushed to operational A-1 and A-5 models giving them access to this new weapon as well.  With the introduction of the C-1 though, the A-1s and A-5s slide back into their primary role as fleet defense fighters while still being used in strike roles when absolutely necessary.
