Description
A white rose drawn in black charcoal? I think I pulled it offThe original is here [link] I took quite a few liberties with it, but if I do another version, I may put in the water drops. All the credit should go to Nattfjaril, so do me a favor and check out her gallery before you're done! [link]

This amazing work has been featured in the news article White Flowers ! Please visit the article to find out some interesting information on the color white and white flowers. In addition, have a glance at all the other lovely works that have been featured there! But most importantly, don't forget to support White Ribbon Day (acting against violence against women). Thank you very much for your time!

Oh my gosh! When I saw the preview for this, I thought it was a photograph. I'm amazed- even closer up, you could mistake this for a picture- great detail, all the linework is perfect.
I think you MORE than pulled it off!

That's wonderful, I love the idea of trying to draw something white using black.

This one seems to grab people's interest. Maybe I should try to do more flowers?

The shading on this is so soft and delicate! You've captured the contrast perfectly, too! Great job, once again!

Awefully kind of you to say, thanks!
It's kind of strange - this is probably the most popular picture I have on here, but personally I don't think it's one my best. Just goes to show you how different people really are, and how they're impressed by different things. Funny, huh? But hey, as long as somebody likes something that I drew, it makes me very, very happy!

For a simple sketch this is very beautiful. The shading is absolutely gorgeous, and I think you even got the texture of the rose petals, if you know what I mean. Very productive use of white space, I like it.
