Actually, I used this setting in Photoshop where every brush stroke changes to a different color and with that setting I could set it to a small range of hues or a large range of hues.
(This is difficult to explain but, for this painting I started off with a purple and set the bar to like hmmm lets say 15-20%, that way everytime I put my pen on the tablet, the color would change from purple to blues to even greens and pinks! However, if I set it to like, say, 100%, then the hues would be from all over the spectrum! Reds, Teals, Burnt Oranges, Mustard yellow- you name it! So to stick with my color palette I just put the range to a low amount, that way it would catch all the huges close to that purple (and it wont pick up something like an orange or something)
