POV: You finally found the recipe for the philosopher's stone.

I was on youtube and randomly had an interesting video on chemistry recommended to me. It was about a man that tried to fake discovering an element, and it went in detail on how elements are formed via nuclear fission and alpha decay/beta decay. While I originally watched it for entertainment purposes, I realized that it had a huge overlap with alchemy and creating a philosopher's stone. Because really, to transform lead into gold you theoretically need to remove 3 electrons and 10 neutrons. This lead me on a really autistic search tirade where I compared a ton of elements to see if combining them would yield gold (particularly nonradioactive gold that isn't an isotope.) Hours later, I had an a-ha moment, and came up with a philosopher's stone recipe that only uses medieval materials. So yeah.

I then thought, "Edgar's personality would change if he finally made the philosopher's stone," because when you meet him he's rather crabby and sleep deprived. Hence, I coded some more, and now a shopkeeper can change if you fulfil certain requirements. Doesn't he look so much kinder now? Yeah, never having to worry about money again would do that to a person. Anyway, I'm making some really good progress on my game. I THINK I might have monsters fighting back by mid-March. Not much left to do!
