Description
A face I made in Blockbench. After 500000000 different approaches to making a character, I finally thought of a new method that I could try. For me, doing the hardest part of a task first is best. So for a while, I'd started with the face because I thought "The face is the hardest." But even then, I still failed. So I thought even more specifically, "What about the face makes it so hard?" I was always able to make the basic shape, but it was the actual features (eyes, mouth, nose) that I couldn't do well. So this time, instead of modelling the face outline and then trying to slap the features on top, I started from the features instead. So I did the eyes, nose, mouth, then connected them to the face, which was a separate mesh. This seems to be a method that works for me! Of course, it's not done yet (and I still have a lot to learn about UV) buuuuuuuuuut it looks decent. I'd put a lad that looks like this in my game. It's not that my previous models were bad per se. It's just, I didn't want to look at them for 40+ hours. Lol. But this little guy? Yeah, he's kewl. Doesn't he kinda look like a mummy? Haha.
