Guilty Gear might not have a coherent story but MAN are those designs epic. I played Rev2 quite a bit yesterday and was inspired to draw Sol yet again. Man, is he cool! The coolest version of him is the Overture one, though, so that's what I drew. I like the fashion, it's perfect for a jrpg. And there isn't a quintillion belts everywhere, that's nice too. Seriously though, what's with the belts?! Why does he have them on his quads??! Are they spare belts or do they there to contain the sheer power of his legs? There's a reason why Wall Kick is one of the best moves... I definitely prefer this design though, both for the clothes and the sword. The one in Rev2 is distracting. All I can think is, "WTH is this dude's exercise regimen?!" With this one his coolness is more prominent than his physical appearance. Skinny Sol gang gang, bros. Fashion>Booba. I'm probably the only person in the world with this opinion.

I'm planning on drawing the dapper older gentleman (Slayer) next. His easy roll combos have grown on me, I'm really bad at all the inputs except for the down-down-right-right-button combo. And that's pretty much his whole moveset, so I got the hang of playing him pretty quickly. I think I know the reason why I had artist block too, I wasn't taking any time off for leisure activity. Now that I've taken a few days of entertainment my inspiration has come back. Epic department? I also tried something new this time. I left some parts simple instead of rendering everything like usual. I think it looks kinda cool. But if you dont like it that's ok too, let me know. Tried some ribcage/pelvic dynamism too. It's seriously been a long time since I've painted anything, I hope I'm not rusty lol.
