Description I did this as a project for my class. We had to take part of an established painting and make some surreal landscape thing out of it using complementary colors. Wasn't so bad, all that background drawing practice finally came in handy. I didn't really like painting in photoshop, though. All I wanted was a flat brush... and somehow, it didn't have it. Sad.

I've drawn so much that I've irritated my old finger injury that I got during my soccer days. Now my finger's in a splint. I think by the time I finish, my entire arm's going to be in a sling. But even then, I'll keep drawing. Maybe I should finally get around to becoming ambidextrous already.

Thanks! Yep, I used photoshop instead of the usual paint tool sai here, so it's a little different. Yeah, now that you mention it, it has been a while since I've drawn any women... okay, I've got time. I'll put something out this weekend!

Wow, artsy! The scale of the painting is kinda confusing... Is that a forest of autumn trees or am I looking at tree shaped grass?

Thanks. It's tree shaped grass. In the project, I had to use a pattern in it to make it subjective or whatever. So, that's what happened.

This looks cool though! Imagine if that was a forest instead of grass, and there’d be this huge towering branch like structures that reach the sky. And at the background, a steep rocky mountain covered in snow. That’s what I see in this painting.Β

As expected of an experienced artist! Your creativity knows no bounds. Very inspiring! I never thought of the small forest thing, that's pretty interesting. I did intend for the mountain, though! Noice. Β

Experienced!? Since when?Β

It is you who should be taking credit for this masterpiece.

What do you mean since when?! Dude, you've been good at drawing way longer than I have. I'm just getting into the groove of things myself. There's still a lot for me to learn. I think you've already got the fundamentals down pretty well, haha. I'm working towards that experience!

Masterpiece? Really? Hmm... my teacher did like how it came out. I think it's okay.

So do I, there are lots for me to learn too, so we're basically the same...

And yes, it is! Treeception!!

Man, like what? You've got everything I can think of already. Perspective, color theory, creativity, sense of space and depth, backgrounds, yadda yadda. And of course, anatomy. Well... most of the time. But isn't that all of us? Aha! You're definitely farther along than I am.
