Last year I managed to start and complete an image in under 2 days. Then I tried to do a similar feat right after that. lol.. and what you see here has taken months!At least one month just developing lineart... endless tweaking.
Another two months for the painting. Tedious, tedious stuff. I got RSI in my hand many times because all my strokes were so repetitive, or took quite a bit of pressure, or both! There are many thousands of strokes making up most of the image.
I need to look after my hands. ;-;
I've done a massive allnighter working on this.. I averaged about 15 hours of work per week normally.

still my favourite character in the pokemon universe.
I did some googling and decided to get Jasmine flowers as my references. I hope they are pretty enough! She's scratching under the chin of her dear Ampharos.. which is not to scale I might add. Sorry. xD
The dress is an original design, but it has probably been created before. it's not that complex in structure.
Edit: Fixed most layer edge aliasing.

I like the shading on this, and I for some reason really like how you did the dress. I also love how you did the tree and flowers, they look pretty realistic.

Wow, I love how you really kept true to the Pokemon art style but refined it into your own and improving upon it.
Everything about this picture is really cute. The pose, ampharos, Jasmine's panties (I like frills), flowers are so well done, and her hair... though, I do wonder how she wears her hair like that.

It is quite simple. When I do fanart I like to match the original designs. Pokemon characters aren't much in the way of dramatic models... But I accept I was limiting myself there. xP
