scars: Jaychirp's tail, although it looks as if she were born with it, was almost completely bitten off by a fox.

accessories :  A bracelet made of vines that has a clump of Fawnnose's fur woven into it.

Other: Jaychirp has lost a lot of her voice due to the injuries to her throat. She now speaks in a harsh, raspy whisper.

Jaychirp is an extremely intelligent cat. She's good at being tactical, using her head rather than charging into battle... most of the time, that is. Every now and then she loses her cool, but not often. On top of her intelligence, she's very social. She enjoys interacting with others, and can be quite bubbly at times. She's much more calm than she used to be though. Jaychirp is a very tactical thinker, preferring cautious planning over brash actions.

Faithful - Bold- Protective

Jaychirp is bold. She's not afraid to take big leaps if she feels that she's leaping in the right direction. She's no coward, always ready and willing to be where she needs to be when her clan needs her. Jaychirp used to be quite the flirt, but this trait has disappeared since she became mates with Cinnamontiger. Jaychirp was not a believer in Starclan. How could she believe in something that she couldn't see? However, eventually, she came to see it. When Fawnnose visited her in a dream her whole outlook on Starclan changed and she became strongly faithful to them. Jaychirp has become extremely protective due to the birth of Ratkit. Perhaps a little too protective.

Possessive - Slightly Self-conscious - Worrisome

Jaychirp is a rather possessive she-cat Once something (or someone) is hers... she doesn't want to share unless it's with someone she lvoes. Jaychirp used to love to antagonize others, but it seems that has faded. Unfortunately, some self-consciousness seems to have replaced it... Perhaps Tranceshadow's words impacted her far more than it seems... Fortunately, with the help of Cinnamontiger, she's managed to get over this spell, becoming more comfortable in her skin once more. She's still slightly self-conscious, but not enough to make a lasting impact. Due to her son's sickness, she has become quite the worrisome cat. She constantly frets over his health and has begun to worry more about her family in general as well. It seems that everything is going to be okay, but she still worries.

[ kithood ] :

Jaykit's kithood started off with a bang... She was incredibly young when her mother caught greencough. She was was shepherded away to the medicine cat den, but Jaykit would never see her again from there... She was given to Fawnnose for the time being to feed her, but this quickly became permanent as her mother passed away. Fortunately, the kit's brain seemed to have blocked out all of her memories due to the stress of this time. She doesn't remember her real mother at all, only remembering being raised by Fawnnose, alongside her "sister", Tranceshadow.

[ apprenticeship ] :

It seemed Shadowclan's leader had a sense of humor, as they handed Jaypaw off to Finchnose to be mentored. The tom was a great teacher, not too harsh but not too soft. Jaypaw thrived under his tutoring...and learned a lot about how to be tactical and manipulative from him too. Her apprenticeship, however, was slightly postponed by injury. In a spar that got too rough, she received a bad gash across her tail, about a quarter of the way from the base. Thinking it to be do no big deal, she just let it heal without getting attention, despite Finchnose's warning. Within just a short period of time she was deathly ill, nearly losing her life...and completely losing all but a quarter of her tail.

[ warriorhood ] :

There's not much to say about Jaychirp's warriorhood. She was given the name Jaychirp, a both humorous and exasperated hint at her bubbly personality. She's taken to learning what she can about herbs, even if she is warrior rather than a medicine cat. She never wants to feel as vulnerable as she did when she was battling infection. Ever chance she gets, she's furthering her herb knowledge, paranoia that something might happen again urging her on. So far, Jaychirp has been there when her clan needs her. She continues to thrive, learning and growing with experience....and having some fun along the way.

Eventually, the inevitable happened. While out in the training hollow with Tranceshadow, the other she-cat made her emotions clear. An argument had sprang up, in which Jaychirp confessed that she idolized Tranceshadow and had only wanted a sister... Tranceshadow simply stated that they would never be sisters. Jaychirp was crushed, and is now forcing herself to just accept the fact that Tranceshadow doesn't like her and will never accept her as her sister. Jaychirp feels that Tranceshadow truly hates her... but the feeling isn't mutual. She's decided that she will just leave the other she-cat alone. She's gotten closer to some cats during that time, Cinnamontiger especially. She also met Bella, a young rogue. Jaychirp knew it was wrong not to chase her off, but she was just so sweet... Unfortunately, she was eventually forced to cut ties with the sweet she-cat due to the rules Ibisstar has in place, but she hasn't forgotten Bella... not by a long shot.

Her feelings for Cinnamontiger began to become more than just that of friendliness... Both cats shared these feelings and both were confused by them. The two acknowledged that they have feelings for one another, but intended to take it slow since it's so new and confusing to the both of them. Jaychirp has certainly given Cinnamontiger her heart though... Good news came to Shadowclan as well, Tranceshadow announcing that she was expecting a large litter of six. Jaychirp was overjoyed for her, but only gave formal congratulations. Unfortunately, not everything remained happy like she'd hoped. Fawnnose was murdered by rogues. Jaychirp was devestated to lose her adoptive mother, and her irritation towards the rogues has turned into hatred. Not long aftwards, Tranceshadow found a tuft of Fawnnose's hair in the elder's den and gave it to Jaychirp. The kind act was not forgotten. Tranceshadow allowed Jaychirp to visit the kits after they were born, though not without making some haughty remarks. It seemed that Jaychirp has managed to gain some tolerance... but only time will truly tell.

Not long afterwards, the battling with the rogues began. Jaychirp was one of the cats called to war. During the fighting, she was badly injured by her opponent, her throat ripped up by the rogue's claws. She was taken back to camp... and it became very unclear whether she would survive or not. Heartbroken, Cinnamontiger asked her to be his mate, and she accepted. She was on the verge of death when Fawnnose visited her in a dream. Her adoptive mother claimed that it was not her time yet... and Jaychirp woke up. She survived, learning to cope with her injuries and the loss of some of her voice. It seemed that trouble still kept stirring during the war... Cats were still killed and some went missing. Tensions between Shadowclan and Riverclan rose. Would the stress and heartbreak ever stop? Fortunately, it seemed that it would. Gradually, things returned to normal... and Jaychirp found herself thinking of a family again, someday. She focused on training Berrypaw for the time being and it paid off. Her apprentice graduated with flying colors, becoming Berrystrike.

It wasn't long after Berrystrike graduated that Jaychirp and Cinnamontiger decided that they wanted to have a family. After some time, Jaychirp became pregnant. The pregnancy proved to be a tricky one.. It was also around this time that Ibisstar died. Jaychirp was stunned by his death, and her heart completely broke for Tranceshadow and her family. It wasn't long after that when the plague ripped through the clans. Jaychirp watched in horror as her clanmates got sick, some of them even dying. Everything changed then... Featherstride, on his death bed due to age complications, told her and Rainpelt that he was their father. Jaychirp was stunned... but she forgave him for never telling them. It seemed she had a brother... She tried her best to slowly start building a relationship with him.

She became sick at this time as well, though it was with a nasty cold rather than the plague. It still seemed to have a bad impact on her kit though and, when he was born, it was found that he was rather sickly as well. He was named Ratkit for, despite his illness, he fought fiercely to cling to life. Jaychirp doted on him, fretting constantly over him. Fortunately, the plague passed without any of Jaychirp's direct family getting ill. Then, the fire came... again, Jaychirp's family managed to avoid devestation. The territory was badly marred, but they were able to return home without much problem. Ratkit recovered from his illness as well, beginning to grow... and quite rapidly at that! Jaychirp was relieved that it seemed he was going to be alright.

Life would continue to throw challenges at her... but she would continue to overcome them, with her family at her side.
