Description
One of the things I liked in ME3 was the doubt that Shepard began to show. It's too easy to allow the player's avatar to be impervious to stress, but when you look at what the character went through, regardless of how you played her it would be impossible not to recognise the mental effect it would have on anyone. This was the result of about 3+ hours fiddling away in XNALara in order to learn the tool, and then postwork in Photoshop. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted to show, besides Shepard showing some of that doubt. In the end I stumbled across a paintlike effect and went with it. Hope you like.

Oh I loved the doubt and the reasons behind it you're right. I just wish there was the option I could play my Shepard as the optimistic again for certain scenes. There were just some things I never thought of her worrying about (whether she is really alive or not), and other things I think she should have worried about but she didn't (her sick boyfriend unexpectedly getting stabbed in front of her, bleeding all over the place, and dying). It really bugged me that when she asked Miranda to be careful, Miranda said I can't promise that can you, there isn't an option to say yes.
Sorry but sometimes optimism and lies are how people can make it through tough situations. You spend your whole time knowing everyone you love and care for are going to die, that you yourself are going to die, you're just going to be depressed, start thinking there is no point, there is no hope, why bother and give up.
I guess that's what happens when Bioware doesn't want to make an RPG anymore.

That's the most thought out response to one of my pieces I've had in months. Thank you!
I disagree with pretty much every word you wrote, but it's always brilliant when someone puts in a bit of time with their response.
