CROSS: It's story time!
+++++++
Introduction
Ucha my name is Cross Tone and I am a griot god as well as four-winged beast. I’m here to share a short story with you. What if you really wanted to do something and managed to get yourself to do it but then things don’t turn out at all like you thought they would?
If you’re wondering who I am my name is Opal. I am a young male wolf with bright―amber eyes, I have light grey fur as bright as the morning sun and this is my story.
I lived in a lush green forest filled with all the prey you can eat from the smallest rabbit to the biggest caribou. My pack doesn’t go by rank for we are all family here and look out for one another. I’ll admit we tend to argue here and there but it’s nothing serious. You could say my life was as easy as catching a deaf rabbit while down wind of it. Any who one would think that with a life this good they could live carefree with no worries―if only that were the case, for me I tend to think a lot, about nothing really just thinking. Lately something very particular flooded my mind.
Every now and then I would hear strange and unnatural sounds off in the distance beyond the forest. My pack always said that it was the sound of the humans and would leave it at that. No one really cared about it except for me. When I heard those sounds I couldn’t get them out of my head and thought about it constantly. Finally I decided to see for myself just what those strange human sounds were. I didn’t feel like being stopped by any of the wolves from my pack so I left when everyone was too busy to be concerned about what I was doing.
Casually I trotted away pretending that I was going for a normal walk and when no one was looking I bolted off! The more I ran the louder the sounds became and the more my heart and thoughts raced. A whole ton of questions bounced around in my mind but the main one was I wonder if the humans place is better than the forest?
Soon enough I caught wind of new smells, some weren’t too pleasant, and others made my stomach growl. (With something that smelled so good it had to be better than what we’ve been eating.) I thought. I was fast and nimble as I swerved past the tall trees. The distance between me and the wonderful place that lay ahead grew shorter it wouldn’t be long now.
OPAL!
The sound of my name being called stopped me in my tracks. I looked over my shoulder to find that my sister had followed me.
“What are you doing way out here Onyx?”
My sister hung her tongue lazily over her bottom lip breathing heavily, “*gasp* I know what you trying….*pant* to do….I saw you running off on my way back home. You know the elders told us to stay away from the humans, they could be dangerous.”
Normally I would heed her advice but my curiosity raged from within me leading me to lash out at my older sister. I raised my voice a little, flattening my ears, “I’m going to found out what that sound is! “My voice returned to a neutral pitch, “I….I have to.” I bounded off leaving my sister behind she didn’t bother to follow knowing there was no way she could change my mind and sadly whispered, “No…..you don’t.”
What if the territory is better?
What if the prey is more plenty?
What if the humans were nice?
What if the elders were wrong?
What if?! What if?!
My big sister’s beautiful black coat and dark―amber eyes were the last things I saw from the forest.
In the end I fulfilled my curiosity and made it to the place where the strange human sounds were made. The humans saw me and I guess they liked me. They were friendly and gave me food and a place to rest my head. I even got a view where I could see all of the humans I wanted to see…. but in exchange I was never allowed to leave and if I made any attempt to I was shot with a needle that would put me to sleep. Then I’d wake up back in my small territory that was also given to me by the humans.
There were other wolves there but I did my best to keep a distance. Let’s just say we didn’t get along very well. I went back to lick my fresh wounds as I fell into my thoughts once more, I now had all the time in the world to think but the main thought to repeat endlessly in my mind……
What if I listened?

You may have a thing for good voices. I love hearing good voice acting and can be pretty picky about them.
Thanks by the way I'm exicted to make another short story piece and can't wait to make more!

That's...true. I find a strange comfort in voices I like >///<
Funny thing here in Germany atm, it seems like half of the voice actors for World of Warcraft are also working in advertisement.
So I was doing my work in the store, when suddenly I heard Xavius (one of the villains) talk about...Yoghurt. It was so bizzare. And had me smiling the entire day xD
I'm super excited to read it already!!

It's awesome! Germany is doing a similar thing Japan does with their VA's - putting them everywhere ^.^
