Yep. The x99 was a prototype TIE produced exclusively to showcase Sienar fighter-making capabilities to the empire. All of the best technologies the company had ever created were incorporated into the ship, including a stygium-powered cloaking device similar to the one on the Sith infiltrator. During it's test flight, in front of a few high Sienar and imperial officials, it sneaked up through an unactivated defense shield, destroyed two rebel squadron and leveled an entire base with a volley of ion torpedoes. Being not only incredibly expensive but also full of rare material, only three prototype were ever completed.
