I would assume that as a officer it would become relevant to have a name as to better identify the officer like colonel Jurten. Also (I may be mistaken) the only event I event I ever heard of where Kriegers had numbers was the siege of Vraks. Although I would also assume that vat-grown Kriegers are only numbered.

Nope. All Krieg Officers are numbered. Read Dead Men Walking, krieg book, The generals are each called by a certain number, the colonels by the regiment they lead, the majors are designated "Major (Company they lead)" Examples of such are Colonel 186 and Major Gamma. Troopers forgo their names for their trooper numbers, seeing as you can barely distinguish Krieg troops seeing as they are so uniform that it's scary. Commisars are a bit open seeing as most Commisars belonging to the Krieg aren't from Krieg since Krieg Guardsmen are so distant from normal socialization.

The presence of named Kriegers says otherwise. Colonel Trymon Stagler of the 933rd, and Colonel Jurten of the 33rd Krieg Infantry.
Both of our sources are Black library publications which makes them cannon by GW standards.
I personal hold the GW Codexs above Forge World and BL publications, but in the end it is what it is.

Then it's either a rare occasion to have names, or it's specified to a general amount of regiments seeing as Dead Men Walking has 4 separate Colonels with numbers, and I don't even remember if I said this earlier, but I do love the picture

You did say it earlier, and I thank you for it. As for the names I suppose it really is up for interpretation. It may also just be Imperial propaganda to give people a name to cheer for and credit.
