EDIT: I know she's a girl! It's the face and clothes I made for her that made her look flat chested and "boyish"! Geez! Enough of "you know she's a girl right?" comments! D8For a change I've decided to try drawing another character in human style besides the main six of My Little Pony.
So here's Derpy Hooves, relaxing on the clouds... I just hope she doesn't jump on it and cause some thunder. D8

This is a very pretty humanized Derpy.
I'm currently working on a movie script, featuring a character who is more or less inspired by Derpy (although anyone not in the Brony community won't know that).

Everyone is bugging about her anatomy, but that's because they don't fully UNDERSTAND anatomy. . . I knew this was a girl because LOOSE SHIRTS HIDE YOUR TETAS! You can still tell she has boobs, though, because you obviously drew a line in the middle going vertical! A LIN IN THE MIDDLE GOING VERTICAL MEANS FEMALE! A HORIZONTAL LINE IS MALE! BECAUSE MAKES DO NOT HAVE TETAS! D< THEY HAVE MAN TEETS! TEETS! IT IS COMMON SENSE! IT IS GRAVITY D<

1. I do not know why so many think male over female for this Derpy fan-work. Even if flat-chested and loose-shirted, the long hair tends give me a "female" first-impression. /shrug
2. "Political Correctness", a term and "definition" I personally loathe, kills so many good ideas or good results of happenstance. Forced homogenization for fear of offending anyone is a killer of creativity and artistic expression.
3. MLP:FiM trivia: Derpy was voiced by Tabitha St. Germain (Rarity), who stated that she also did not know what kind of voice to give Derpy, thus opted for a "gender neutral" a voice as could be managed.
4. Sadly, strong rumours, & comments from the MLP:FiM producers, seem to indicate that Derpy has been cut out as even a background character as of the end of Season 3 
5. I personally have no problem with a "gender ambigous" Derpy, given the history and nature of the fan-popular background pony-pegasus.
6. The suspenders are a good detail. In addition to adding flavour to the depiction, it also adds some needed darker colour-splash with all the white (shirt, "seraph" wings, cloud) and other light colours. Never underestimate the use/need/impact for a bit of contrast-colouring, even as a small detail bit.
7. As a critique, Derpy's Cutie Mark placement is good, but ill-defined due to its light colours and Derpy sitting upon a white cloud.

This has to be my favorite human drawing of Derpy. I actually really like the fact that instead of most people, who are probably thinking " Derpy's a girl, lets give her a big chest", you have her more of a normal (slightly flat) chest.

I like the fact that you made her look kinda guyish, it adds character. Plus I hate how I ussually see humanized ponies that have giant boobs and revealing clothes. ALSO I FREAKING LOVE THAT HAIR!!!!!!!! :3
