well, hunger games is a veryveryvery good book series, soon to be a movie. thresh is a character from district 11. he's tall and muscular and dark-skinned and not much else about him is described, but this is pretty much what i pictured him looking like.

His chibi version makes him look like he has boobs O_O. Maybe take some detail out of the chibi? Chibi's are suppose to be really really simplified.
