Description
looking back a year, the beginning of my career here as an AVS artist. this pack - beside the fact that it is dedicated ~framesofreality because of various reasons you may read in the intro - is all my style and technique in creating visuals. i know i have planned to release it on the 18th march, but i don't have so much time i wanted to spend on it. enjoy!Related content

good work all round on this one.
the intro was a bit too slow for me to bother watching through unfortunately... i'll watch it again some other time. i did notice one typo - 18th March of 2005 should be 18th of March 2005. The second preset is awesome tho (daydream) aside from the 'obviously a 2d bump with a dm' syndrome that the beginning gets (that only an AVS artist would spot and no one else cares about... lets be honest) this is the best use of the plain 2d bump I've seen in a long time, it really adds texture without looking like the ugly hack of an effect that it is, in fact if it wasn't for the beginning I would have most likely had to open it up to see that Bump does it all. Rather than give a preset by preset overview heres a run down on what i liked and why, and what i disliked and my nitpicks.
Prelude - another one of these tired 'mess of flows' dms we see so many of. what is their appeal? the grainyness and water really ruins this one extra for me
Futurescape - the texers looks incredible, the raytrace is nice also. my only gripe is the texture... its definately difficult to avoid 'the obviosuly tiled texture' look but at least its colours suit the tunnel well
Soulcube - very nice style, geometry, particles, colours. everything in this one is great, the only thing I feel is lacking is the music response... then again who am I to complain about that? random rotation on beat is almost all i ever do :-p
Dreamcatcher - 9fps... on my computer (massive specs)... to render a kaleidoscope... pretty... but far too slow for what it is.
Mxperz - nitpick - it goes much too bright at fps > 10, the additives build up to quickly.
Inhibition - f**king awesome, you can see some jaggies at some points... but the preset maintains its clean look and style nicely.
Blackhazard - you seem to have created some nasty aliasing there... looks like it comes from the color map. sparklies are not nice in any graphics application... but especially when the render resolution is superpixel accurate
Very nice overall, nice to see the focus on style rather than tech from a very technically capable artist. Definately worth a +fav.

...my big dilemma was, should i comment in english or hungarian?
mostly because i think a lot of people would kick my ass i decided to stick with english.
along with jjcl's remix pack i must say i'm very flattered to see some work inspired by me, thank you for citing me as an inspiration!
i must say you are ahead of me in soooo many ways... you can make normally working DM's great-looking SSC's so i think the biggest influence was the way of naming the presets (because the DOTS).
so luckily your style is the same, the style so many love and adore
as i used to do it, here comes a preset by preset comment :
intro - great vibrating effect, cool movie trailer look, not to mention when reminiscence comes in - that kicks ass
daydream - if yummy wouldn't be such a half-assed word i would probably say that, but because it is totally uncool i stick with mesmerizing preset with nice aqua colors FPS is a bit low however
prelude - the basic flow reminds me of a bit of mig's presets and the trail is nice too - however this is my least favourite of the pack... still deserves an 8 1/2 out of ten
futurescape - wooo tunnels you still make the best tunnel presets ...
soul cube - ...and your scope work is still awesome - but i think the preset could handle a bit more aggressive reactions
infiniti - elegant and simple
dreamcather - wtf is bringing down the FPS rate? pretty cool otherwise but the FPS...
mxperz - as mentioned by others, gets too bright with fast stuff.otherwise pretty cool
inhibition - ah man, this is too good for the people - Grrrreat (meow i might add)
constellation - this was a surprise, because i have an unreleased and unfinished remix of smokey that has colors like this one - but that sucked and this is amazing
blackhazard - the usual b&w action from hboy, the usual swirling greatness
hazel - personal favourite, great for chillout
digital love - this preset is hot, even without naked women
so once again a nice big star
and yes you owe me a beer, but as a fellow alcoholist i think we should stay with the metaxa and other high end stuff

very nice pack, although small. my faves included futurescape, daydream (although it's too slow), my most favorite fav: digital love.

Well this sure was an unexpected surprise! I must agree with zen-x: the intro kicks some serious ass. I love both of your intros with Oxygene and Prodigy, but this one takes the cake.
Now for the breakdown:
- daydream: awesome! it reminds of this trip I took one time on a bottle of cough syrup.
- prelude: MPs--hey, ya can't mess with the classics. pretty nice effect.
- futurescape: again, it's looks better than I expected. the texture of the tunnel is pretty basic, but it works like a charm. and i musn't forget the texers, which are just righteous.
- soul cube: you are simply genius. the texers are, of course, awesome.
- infiniti: the only I didn't like. I guess I just don't get it.
- dreamcatcher: very nice! it reminds me a bit of El-vis's work for some reason.
- mxperz: this one is great! I could watch this for hours. As zen-x said, this does get a little too bright but luckily it fades out fast enough. I'll just have to try it on my notebook to be sure.
- inhibition: I like this one, but my only bitch is about the second convolution filter. The effect worked great with 'soul cube', but I didn't like it so much with this.
- constellation: now THIS is a preset! as soon as I saw this i just blurted out 'Holy Shit! That's fucking awesome!' and it is, too. I instantly took a screen shot of that and have it as my desktop background. I hope you don't mind, I just couldn't resist!
- blackhazard: aah, now this is tranquility for me. I really like your DM, I with I could code such a great flow. My first and only attempt at one crashed and burned horribly.
- hazel: this sure is different. very nice colors, too.
- digital love: you couldn't have said it any better: 'You never saw so many sexy colours in a preset.' The only other thing I would said is to change the interferences blending to 50/50.
Overall, very nice pack! As I said before, a great surprise! I was feeling pretty shitty before logging onto Devart tonight, however you made my day so much better with such beautiful eye-candy! So thanks, and, oh yeah,

didn't get the "18th march 2005" part in the intro.. daydream kicks ass for its bump, as black hazard kicks for what appears to be a bump. other favourites are inhibition and soul cube.

the pack supposed to be appear on that date, as it is my birth date. however i didn't want to spend more time on it cause of school, and i didn't remove the 18th cause ... my birthday

First of all this pack has the best intro ever.
This is an excellent, if smallish, pack (13 presets). Although I can see the similarity in style to
framesofreality (what do they put in the water in Hungary??), the dark brooding abstract shapes and ambient lights fickering across a futuristic soundscape. This pack tends towards the smoother and more fluid where as his is more chaotic and spasmodic (both are great btw).
My only complaint is that 'mxperz' is to bright when listening to high-BPM music, but my favourate visuals are 'soul cube' and 'futurescape' (seriously nice ball lighting FX in that one).
This is the perfect pack for listening to tech-step.
Peace
zen-x
