Once a year, a whole nation stops in it's tracks, stands at attention and remembers.

Once a year, Two minutes of Respect and Remembering.
Once a year, a way of saying Thank you for protecting me.

On Israel's Memorial Day there is a siren of 1 minute the night before signaling the beginning of the memorial day. On Memorial day itself, at 11:00, there is a two minute siren as well.
