I used to a lot of pics like this ie ink and watercolour but sort of fell out of the habit of it. So I decided to revisit an old style and really enjoyed doing it. the gryphon is based on the marvelous Bateluer eagle from Africa. They have such marvellous faces! I think this would make an excellent piece of art for a library story hour.
16x20 ink and watercolour on illustration board.
