love the placement of the "light patches" lining up with that tree, which gives it a certain stature. this "back_to_roots" imagery is fascinating and "about time" in all senses of the word. great image

it really doesn't matter if the thing (solitary tree on hill) has been done before. your take on it is intriguing and manages to stay original. i love your style of manipulating the picture. what do you exactly do to them? add predefined texture layers?

i dont like flares, either, but this one sort of appealed to me. especially since this picture (solitary tree on hill) has been done so many times, i thought it gave it a little something different.

its the generic japanese counter for objects, hitotsu means "one" or "one thing"
