This one was an unusual choice for sure, but it was one of those I felt compelled to put pencil to paper on! Always liked Arnim Zola and his creations like Doughboy and Primus!

yeah, nothing you would expect to see added to the chibi fun, but it became one of your best. I just love seeing Arnim Zola getting your treatment!

hehe I just read this storyline a few weeks ago I loved Doughboy and Primus
I have to say I hate that they keep dressing the spies in Mavel up in bright colors. I mean really Sharon is supposed to be a top spy, someone who is good at blending in and they have her in a bright white vinyl jumpsuit I liked it better when all the SHIELD agents wore black or dark blue. It just looks sleeker and more spy oriented.

I was surprised when i found out that was the first appearance of Arnim Zola also! I agree with the whole spy thing, miss the old dark blue SHIELD uniforms. Was reading the new Captain America: America's Avenger handbook and saw Tony Stark developed Spanflex Armor for SHIELD, bright orange and yellow! lol

Tony is not a man for being subtle Btw what did you think of Dead Ringer's bio?

the pic was good, combo Dexter with the Porcupine. But what else would have worked? hate drawing just plain uncostumed characters, which Dead Ringer basically is. The man is badly needing some uniform or something, but then again, he takes on the costumes of the characters he replicates!

I drawing him in the trench coat holding the box in one hand and a severed finger in the other while in mid trasnformation would be cool though I would go with someone else besides Porcupine. Maybe Blackout or Death-Stalker
I actually like that he wears a black shirt, pants and leather trench coat. It makes him seem that much more evil, like he could just blend into the crowd and nobody would be the wiser.

He's one of those characters that I like his abilities, but his visual doesn't really do it for me.

I think if it's done right his transformation can look freaky and you can have some fun with it artistically. Almost like how the alien from John Carpenter's The Thing would morph halfway into humans or animals?

I see your point, this split down the middle kinda reminds me of Composite Batman/Superman but definitely less cool. Your morphing idea sounds much better.

Thanks, the way I figure it the creepier this guy is made to look the better considering what his power is based on and he's a convicted grave robber.

LOL! Well, in the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes he pretty much took out all the Avengers by himself, thought it was a good representation of how someone with it's abilities could be pretty hard to beat.
And i agree about the "cheesiness" of those early Captain America issue, sometimes it's hard to not laugh at the way they were written back then, almost like an episode of the Adam West "Batman" series.

I thought the same thing when i was drawing him, they have a lot of the same characteristics. Bet Doughboy would make for one comfortable bean bag-like chair!

Now I'm eyeing Hulk 39-41. Those will be boss when Omegex arrives, especially with Red out of the Avengers and trying desperately to go back to his childhood home. ( Plus I'm anxious to see if my hunch that he'll become the new Incredible Hulk payz off )

Did you see the teasers showing the Hulk, Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk all possibly on the same team with Dr. Strange and Iron Fist?

No bio or anything. All I'm seeing is a possible variant pic of just Big Red. :/

They show the outline of the character with letters in color to tease you. A lot of peeps think it's a new Defenders line-up.

And just to humor you, I'm drawing a Savage Red Hulk.

It came out so cool, I'm a bit reluctant to color him in. I'll post up a non-colored one, then maybe a colored pic.

I always liked this over-grown piece of play-dough, planned on doing this piece for a long, long time! Any any chance i get to draw Arnim Zola, I'm there!

Thanks, this one was a labor of love! Truly an obscure character from way back that i believe gets absorbed by another creation of Arnim Zola's, Primus.
