I completed it up to this stage (base colouring completed) mid-April during mid-semester break, but now that that's long gone already and I have an ever-decreasing amount of free time to complete this until June (more time spent screwing up management and law tests, teehee), I thought I might as well just upload it at this stage for now.
Don't get me wrong; I will finish it... yeah, in June, when the next break is, but I'm pretty much just uploading it at this stage to keep my page somewhat alive. ^^
Critiques are open as well since I want to have feedback accumulate until then... though it's not like I'll get many, if any. XD
Also, shite looking Hot Shot is shite. Deal with it for now.

Just curious but, why not just update one constantly WIP picture instead of uploading a new one each time? It'd make it a whole lot easier for you as well as people who want to fave this thing, but have to keep doing so with each new upload.

Meh, I'll probably consider it for this round. I treat the epic time gaps between each version of it being completed as enough to warrant the uploading of a completely separate picture as a matter of activity, or lack thereof, as the case may be. Plus, I'm not even sure that replacing it constantly through one deviation will allow each upload to appear on the front page, sooo... >.>

Wow. Very nicely detailed and the pose is excellent. The coloring is also really nice, and I can't wait to see it completed! The only thing that strikes me as odd are the smokestacks on the right shoulder. Everything else has really nice dimensions, but the smokestacks look odd and slightly 2-D. But that's just a minor complaint.
It's pretty great.
(Love Hot Shot and Jetfire in the background fighting Starscream. I'm especially impressed with the amount of detail you put on Jetfire and Starscream.)

As for the smoke, it'll be slowly filled in as I go, when I do have the time to do so. Same goes with the land detailing. I've never really done smoke details or had a good crack at backgrounds (especially rocks, in this case) before, so... yeah. XD

Nah, I didn't mean the actual smoke effects (Those look pretty good as-is), I was talking about the things on Optimus' shoulders that would be smokestacks in vehicle mode.
