She doesn't let setbacks discourage her, and will gut through hardships until she's on the other side. Her friends command her highest loyalty, and she will fight for them through thick and thin.
History:

Mem was born in a small northern town. Her mother had lived there her whole life, as had several generations of her ancestors. Her father, though, had not. He was something more. A child of an angel. A Nephilim.
From a very early age, Mem's parents taught her to hide her true heritage. The world was a dangerous place for supernatural creatures, Nephilim and their spawn especially. She wasn't allowed to fly, or heal injuries, or do anything that might expose her power. Her very nature, though, made this difficult. She wished to use her powers for good, to help others. But her parents were convinced that if she revealed her Nephilim blood, then she would be in danger.
As it turned out, they were right.
When Mem was fifteen, a few other kids her age went to race their Tokotas across the glaciers near the town. One of them fell and tore open their arm on the sharp ice. Without thinking, Mem used her powers to heal their wound, exposing herself in the process. She didn't see what was wrong with that.
Until the knock on her door that night.
Hunters - supernatural hunters - had caught wind of her and come for her. Her parents held them off so that she could get away. She never saw them again, or learned what happened to them.
The only idea Mem had was to find a new place to live. There was a town about twenty miles away, which didn't take long to get to with flight. As soon as she got there, she got the first job she could find - a job training young Tokotas. She got paired with Ruv, a Dire with a lame foot.
Over the next few months, she and Ruv became very close. Ruv followed her everywhere he could, always happy to be around her. To Mem, he was her best friend. If you had a quarrel with him, you had a quarrel with her. He was practically family.
So when the hunters tracked her to her new home, of course Ruv came with her.
They chose not to go to another village - it was too dangerous, too likely that Mem would be found again. Instead, they chose to stay in the wild forests.
Their new territory was all taiga and muskeg, trees and frost. Along the way, they met new members of their fledgling pack. Tokotas - and non-Tokotas, too.
Memory found a small, scared owl girl at the edge of their territory on a cold, snowy morning. The girl introduced herself as Tinshemet, and said she was running away from people who had tried to hurt her. Of course, Mem let her stay. There was no way she'd let the girl fend for herself in the woods.
Now, Mem continues to live in the wild with her friends. She doesn't mind living out here, away from everyone else. If you ask her, this is where they're safest.
Time to see where the adventure will go from here.
