one of many drawings that I didn’t post!

never properly drawn Simba or Nala before, any past attempts have been fails to say the least. but i'm really proud of how this turned out!

here it is beside the screenshot:

i'm going to be one of the very many who've said this, but wow. their sequel designs were....pretty bad. at least in my opinion. sure I guess they fit into the darker theme they wanted to portray but even so, I wanna have a chat with the person who gave the "OK". their overall appearances just take away from the original so much, I can’t properly describe what doesn’t sit right since there’s a bunch of reasons. though I guess the main one being that they look really bulky and "cartoony" like they were changed to a bubble font. which lol, is ironic considering it’s a cartoon film and it’s still in the realm of normal x’}

I just remember disliking TLK II Simba as a kid because it was like “who is this low budget, online vs when it arrives imposter >:’{“

but regardlessss, I love the film all the same and have seen it more times than I can count!

as a side note, I definitely could have drawn Nala better, she looks kinda lifeless here. also could have given better colours, these don’t necessarily seem like her proper daytime ones when comparing to how she looks as a cub
