Must...resist...sexual...cooking...innuendos...Ahem. Anyways. I'm actually really proud of this. It's cute, the shading's decent, and I sort of felt like I needed another yaoi base in which the genders aren't unisexual.

Not to offend you, but I don't think "copy" is the wrong word choice. Copy basically means stealing it.Β
Referencing would be a good word. But even then if you happen to look for something and only want to reference it, crediting should still be in effect.Β
Oh and I'm looking in your gallery right now, and it'd be a good idea to credit those who made the bases you dolled on by linking back to the original base.Β
While it doesn't annoy me too much when people don't credit me, it annoys other people immensely.Β

Only a few of my drawings are made from bases, and they were the early ones... The bases were taken from a person who has de-activated their account so I can't really credit them anymore. When I did my speed drawing for one of them, I did say it was a base.

That doesn't matter. It's like someone saying "I plagiarized that Harry Potter but I made that book 10 years ago so it doesn't matter. I can still showcase it." You're still showing something based on something someone else made without credit. It's still wrong.
Oh and actually, even if the person deactivated their account, you should still credit them by at least saying, "I used someone's base but they deactivated their account." What if they have another account and get angry at you? I wouldn't get angry, but people can be rude and report you without warning.
I'm not trying to criticize you or get angry with you, but I'm trying to help just in case you run into someone who won't give you a break.
