Description
First you think it's just a game
you think you will be living life just the same
untill you get drafted at eighteen
and you're on thier plane eating their food and baked beans
then you start to hear guns of all kind
and something starts to trigger in your mind
you begin to understand what it means to risk your life
to protect our justice and what's right
as you crawl across the dirt
you see what it really means to hurt
as you lean against the back of the hill
you start asking yourself are you ready to kill
as your commander screams go
you begin running and you don't even know
what you're going to do
you set those wierd thoughts in your mind like you're not going to make
it through
all you can hear is people scream in pain
slowly you start to go temporarily insane
you look over your shoulder just in time to see your friend fall and die
you run to his side and start to cry
you see him take his last gasp of air
and then you scream at the top of your lungs This just isn't fair!
You want to sit there by him all day
but you mainly want those other men to pay
before you even know what you're doing you reach back and grab your
gun
and across the battlefield you begin to run
now you wake up in a bed
with bandages across your head
the doctor said you were shot in the back of the head
and you were lucky that you weren't dead
so when you return home to your kid and wife
you begin to feel how war changed your life
so now when people say war is no big deal
you say to them Well are you ready to kill?
