Shellkit was born into RiverClan, from the warriors Petalheart and Rainshadow. She was the only child, after the first kit in the same litter was stillborn. Her parents were slightly disappointed when they saw that Shellkit would have to move to ThunderClan, but that did not halt them from giving all their affection to their only daughter. The kit grew quite the attachment to RiverClan, as she felt that it was her true home, although she knew that she would have to leave the Clan as soon as she reached 6 moons of age. The night before Shellkit was meant to leave, her mother plucked two peonies from her own flower crown, and planted them on Shellkit's tail, securing the buds into place with her thick fur.apprenticeship //
So far, Shellpaw's apprentice life has been decent. She was homesick for the first day she arrived in ThunderClan, but she is getting used to the new environment, and attempting to make new acquaintances and friends.

The stray leaves poking into the entrance of the warriors' den rustled as a mousy-brown molly looked out of the den, pelt somewhat ruffled from sleep, still feeling groggy despite having woken up some time ago. Perhaps the lingering feeling of tiredness was from not having stretched right after waking from her slumber, perhaps it was from pushing her climbing skills to the limit yesterday. Nonetheless, the result was stiff muscles, and a clinging sense of slight stupor as she stumbled into the open clearing. Squinting and shielding her face as the blinding sunlight shone right into her azure optics, Hollywatcher flattened her ears, the flashiness of the light soon fading as she got used to the luminosity of the camp from the dimness of the den she resided in. The feline found herself scanning the clearing, trying to spot any cats she may be able to make small talk with, maybe go hunting with. She often found herself wandering about the territory alone, as she did not yet have an apprentice, and decidedly, had nothing to do.
