My first attempt at a photo manipulation--not sure about it, but since I put in a lot of work and it is a concept I've had in my head a long time, I thought I would post it.After looking at this for a while, I decided to move it to scraps. I really like the background and pedistel and magic effects, but I looked through every stock photo of clothed women and I could not find what I really wanted for this. I might try to take the photo of the girl myself in the future, and replace what I've done here. The other thing was I really wanted to add to her look, but with a laptop touch pad I just didn't have the control to be able to do it. Thanks for the comments, as they really helped me decide what to do with this.

Don't move this to scraps...I am really impressed. I like the textures and the intergration of all your elements...I don't think I could do this. I really like the background and the magic whisps thingys...how did you do that? Where did you get the idea for the picture...*picks your brain*

Awe! Thank you! I'm still debating--I conned *evlfish into taking a better fitting photo for the girl in the middle, so once I have that I will probably put it back in my regular deviations.
The magic whisps were done with the pen tool (I cannot figure that thing out for the life of me) on different layers. Then I "swirled" them individually and repositioned them where I wanted them. I've had this in my brain for probably 5 years now--who knows where it came from. I always wanted to draw it, but my abilities just aren't good enough. It dawned on me when I saw the background photo that I could probably do a decent photomanip instead.

I like it. the outline aroudn the girl is a little thick but for a first photomanip it's awesome. It reminds me of the fairy pools in the Zelda games (I'm a dork).
