I am in love with this movie at the moment XDDIf you haven't watched "Help! I'm A Fish/A Fish Tale" then you really need to, it's one of my childhood fave films! 8D
I found a recorded vid of it and watched it with my Sis and we fell in love! I ordered the DVD as well for special features and such ^^ The animation in it is beautiful and I love all the characters (Fly is my fave <3) the story is brilliant too, I highly recommend this film ^^
The main antagonist, Joe, is played by Alan Rickman-That's Severus Snape's actor! 8DDD
Anyway, to show my appreciation, I did some fanart of the movie! 8D
I'm really pleased with how it came out, especially their human forms since I normally suck at humans! X3 I got the pic ref from the DVD box~
Fly is the Californian Flyfish, Chuck is the Jellyfish and Stella is the Starfish ^^
I seriously love how fish-Fly came out, he's definently my fave, I think he came out so well! 8DD
Stargfish-Stella came out much better than I planned, I thoyught she'd be hard but I think she came out well!
Jellyfish-Chuck was really quite hard, it's always the simple-looking blob characters that are the hardest to draw! X3
Human-Stella, I hate her face! I don't know why but I just hate how it turned out >_< I do like her right hand though! X3
Human-Fly came out quite good I think! Probably my best out of the humans~
Human-Chuck came out a bit pudgier than usual but he looks alright ^^
The background is simple yet I like it!
Dare I say it, I like how ALL the hands came out! That's a first! XDDD

I saw it too and it was great! I wonder why it took years for it to be released in the USA and I know the same film company did a animated film I really liked... "Asterix and the Vikings"
oddly enough there was a scene near the end of the Asterix movie where Unhygenix was serving fish to Doublehelix and sure enough the fish looked exactly like Fly (or a normal California Flyfish) a reference I presume?
Unlike "Help! I'm a Fish", "Asterix and the Vikings" never had an American release despite having HUGE NAMES in the English dub.

The first one I ever saw as a kid in the 80's(back when the Disney Channel USA was cool), as "Asterix vs Caesar". I also saw the english dub of "Asterix and the Big Fight", the version where Getafix was renamed "Vitamix".
I thought Asterix and Obelix were vikings due to their helmets but it wasn't until I found out what a Gaul is and Gauls are French ("Asterix in Britian"'s english dub portrays them with french accents) plus they eventually encounter Vikings/Normans (I guess Obelix met a group much more crazier than the Romans.
I hope I one day see the english dub of "The 12 tasks of Asterix" even though the film is non-canon with the series due to their 4th wall breaking jokes and the ending involving the Gauls now rule Rome after Asterix and Obelix made a point with Caesar after accomplishing the 12 tasks.

I recorded most of them on video when they used to play on TV here, I can't remember the first one I saw but it might have been Asterix and the Big Fight! I think that actually had a couple of different English dub versions because I remember seeing 2 different ones when I was little.
My fave however was always Asterix Conquers America for some reason, I just loved the story in that one!
And I remember the French accents they had in Asterix in Britain! I loved that one as well.
That is the one that I never saw as well, I've always wanted to though!

My favorite scene in "The twelve tasks of Asterix" is during his introduction scene, Asterix says "Helloβ in various languages to the audience (English, Japanese, German etc.) while the flags of the countries are shown. As the flag of France appear Asterix makes a rooster-like sound. This is a reference to the fact that the rooster is a national symbol of France.

I've seen most of the film, it's not bad really. I think it would've been better if the songs were taken out but for what it is, it's good.
