That actually irritates me as a gay man who enjoys yaoi. You are literally trying to sexualize gay people for people who just think it is hot. It isn't always sex either for gay people. Most of us just want to cuddle, watch anime or movies, and be there for eachother and all yall want to do is see us fuck. People who do this sicken me. yaoi is a huge fetishization of gay relationships. yaoi is not at all like normal romance and romance mangas are often not like 'normal romance' at all, anyway!! if you're going to go liking yaoi, at least dont think of it like its a normal thing - it is a genre that shouldn't be treated like its normal.Β

that wasn't my point; i never said that only straight women - as mostly was used - liked yaoi and gay people couldn't read or view yaoi. yaoi is a genre that hugely fetishizes gay men, as i have said previously. there is a HUGE difference between liking gay representation in media and liking yaoi; i love seeing gay couples in tv shows and comics and stuff because its represents people like me, who are dudes that likes dudes!! its totally okay to enjoy some yaoi, but i personally do not support the concept because it carries the same tropes as heterosexual stuff except its replaced with two dudes, one of which is usually more feminine!
