It's called body shape transformation.The user can convert chakra intro a shield which covers the entire body with chakra.It's the most powerfull justsu of the Tomoko clan and once used it sucks the energy from you and in most of the cases you die.
Ayame transformed herself once in order to protect some members of Konoha, in which Naruto was there but he was badly hurt from a previous mission and he couldn't act when fighthing against a very powerful killer.She almost died,but Sakura saved her in the very last minute and swore she would never do it again.
