I have a feeling that the photo is taking us back to the old ages of Japan when there're only black and white movies on the screen.

I like how you edit out all of the colors from this picture with the exception of red, it really shows talents.

The only sort of critique I would have for this shot is that the red/orange left in the edited shot is nice, but makes the image as a whole look very flat. I would have enjoyed seeing more of the depth this picture could potentially have. I would also suggest that you pay close attention to where you're placing your focal point. The Torii gate appears to be the focal point of this piece, and it is not quite in the middle. If possible, it may have been more effective to use the rule of 3rds when deciding on the composition of this shot.
Other than that, the image is clean and crisp, and the editing is well done.

I love the way you brought out the reds, and made everything else monotonal! It would've been nice to have had a higher angle, it seems a shame not to have gotten the water around the tori in there, and I can't stop looking at the aircon units not XD but otherwise this really brings out the beauty of the shrine!
