Jiro/Kikaider is a lot like Megaman in some ways. And Casshern is similar to 8-Man, another Japanese robot.

Yeah. He's very rare and unheard of. And almost nobody knows about him today. But he was one of Japan's oldest robotic superheroes right next to Astroboy. First starting out as a manga and a TV series from the 60s, which was a decade prior to Casshern. In 1991, SNK gave us the 8-Man arcade game. In 1992, a live action movie was made. And in 1993, there was a four episode OVA series titled 8-Man After, which was later stitched together as a single feature length film. The latest entry to 8-Man's legacy was 8-Man Infinity, which is a manga. It came out in 2005.

I'm not sure where you'll find the manga. But the original 60s series is available to watch on YouTube. The show lasted for 56 episodes. However, the last few episodes were never dubbed. But they are subtitled. After that, check out 8-Man After. Caution though; 8-Man After is a darker, grittier, and more violent take on the series.

Hey, nice to see Jenny & Astroboy, Tima and WALL-E (but no EVE?) I'm only surprised the 'bots from MST3K aren't included in the mix as well, making wisecracks in the background.

I avoided drawing more than one character from the same movie/series. Otherwise I would have drawn EVE, she is awesome!
