Tumblr post: heilos.tumblr.com/post/8458733β¦This was a sketch I had sitting on my computer that I was saving for her eventual ref sheet in the future, but I liked it enough to throw some quick colors and shading on it a few days ago.
Quick description:
Harmony has the ability to condense herself into a much smaller pony by extracting half of her magic and placing it within the Everfree forest in the form of a sapling that resides where her tree form once stood. This is the only way she can leave Everfree since her magic is required to keep the forest in check. Her smaller form retains most of her original appearance though it's far more simplified in design.
Once again for anyone curious about who Harmony is, please see the images and descriptions below:
I'll be expanding more on her abilities in the future whenever I have time in my busy schedule, same with eventually getting that ref sheet done. This is also a nice alternative for not having to draw her full form all the time as much as I love it. XD

Hmmm good question, hadn't had much time to think about things like that quite yet.Β
I'm still in the process of developing her more then just being the Tree of Harmony brought to life.Β
Not a bad idea though! As a physical embodiment of a powerful, ancient tree, I could see somethingΒ
like that being plausible, She'd definitely be or at least feel almost spiritual being so old and theΒ
representation of harmony itself.

what if she could also retain her regular appearance when she exits the forest and just makes herself smaller to be less imposing (remember when Twilight met her?)

Well that's what this form is for, she can't retain her stature since half of her magic has to stay within the forest so it alters her appearance. c:

well, my idea was that she could be at full size outside of the forest, just weaker power wise (and that isn't saying much: She's likely more powerful then Celestia and Luna put together, so this form would probably be used when outside the forest ONLY so she doesn't startle anyone) It's just an idea of mineΒ

besides, I kind of like the idea of Harmony in full splendor meeting Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and the Mane 6 outside of the Everfree Forest
