...to yourself.This is /u/pyrobug0's prize for winning the Unofficial Most Helpful Community Member Contest. He was nominated for his truly commendable contributions to the mlp support subreddit. He requested a Derpy Hooves drawing, and this is what I came up with! This was actually inspired by a post of his. Anyway, I hope he likes it!

Derpy is my favourite background pony. I am always on the lookout for artists/writers that portray her in a mature way... and especially those which add depth to her character like this one does!
The message is wonderful, of course. I'm not much of a critic, but I think the timing was well done - I felt the tension building up in the third panel. I didn't figure out before the reveal though, so it was a pleasant surprise

This legitimately makes me want to cry because Derpy is so much stronger than I am. I can't look in the mirror without hating myself. And yet, her she is, telling herself to love herself, something I can't even do. I love everything about this picture. <3

Very nice. Maybe some day Hasbro will let the creators use the character properly. Even my wife, who is no fan but who raised an autistic son as a single mother before I knew her, likes Derpy, and when I told her about the fanon stuff about her having a daughter and a job and all that thought it expressed very well how "special needs" people (or ponies) can live happy lives and be a part of society.
