I'm so far behind here- but this is beautiful! Do you know, this year I found some surprise crocus growing under a juniper bush in our front yard where none had ever been in the ten years I have lived here... A gift from the Wee Folk even here in town!

Indeed. The strange thing about them being in our yard is that we have never planted any here! Perhaps a squirrel dug up someones bulbs and burried them under the shrub for its winter cache and forgot them?
