I wanted to see how to draw two people hugging (with no reference). MAN...this picture is crap. The proportions are way off, the girl looks like she's straining her neck just to rest on this guy's shoulder....I could go on and on.
Why am I posting this? Begging for help, I suppose. Critique please.

I honestly really like this drawing, the proportions are abit off [as you said] but it's nothing too noticeable, it's actually a lot better then what most people can do, even using a reference.

your right, she does look like shes straining her neck, but the emotion in this picture it really cute. another thing, i know if i were drawing that, i wouldnt be able to make it look balanced with the guy leading back like that, it would end up looking crooked or something. good job on that!
