Description
I needed a shield for a character to harness in combat. I created the base vectors in Illustrator, then once satisfied, imported it over into Photoshop and started tweaking it.

The runic text I used is called Temphis Brick, which I obtained over and free fonts.

Description:
The shield is linked to a charm which the owner wears around their wrist. Upon their command, the charm manifests energy in the user hand, and forms up the shield.
It's secret trait is hidden in its ability to absorb and refract back part of the energy from an attacker, turning their own weapons against them.
If necessary, the user can 'seperate' a portion of the shields energy to create up to 4 weaker shields that can float around the wielder, protecting them from other angles and providing cover. However, for each of the energy shields summoned, the main sheild becomes slightly weaker, and its ability to refract back and absorb attacks becomes less effective.
