I hesitate and I sign myself on the cover of a book, looking anxiously through it.
The paper on my desk remains white as it was 2 days ago when I put it there.
I get up, and walk away, but after a time I find myself hovering above the paper again.
Day and night, night and day, I don't move, just sit in front of it; I consider myself insane already.
A week passes, and the paper is still white like the day it was created.
I go outside, I walk back in, a vase of poppies on my desk. They remind me
Of the promise that I had once made to you. The hesitation goes away,
Slowly, as more days pass, leaving me with nothing - just silence without ideas.
I ponder on what our relationship is, if we even are mere acquaintances.
I don't know, I can't find out. Do we even have a relationship?
Our situation is most fragile indeed, but it's most beautiful as well.
With these thoughts inside my head, I place myself in front of the desk.
I take a pen in hand, and with a smile, I write "Dear"...."friend,".
