Description If you have any news, any tips and any stories to tell for Raw images please say so I am willing to listen and learn from any one

The first work Ive done using Raw and I am very much surpirsed to see the differece for the image is somehow more detailed than the jpegs I took. Learning more about the raw and how it improves quality is what Im intending to do for the meantime.

So it seems you are using Lightroom? First thing to do is go to Google and type in "Free Lightroom Presets", there are a TON out there and these are a Godsend & part of my regular workflow. I really love this shot, I would saturate it more though, I simply can't stop looking at this! Dang, ....that water......total tranquility!

Yes I am (version 1.3) and I enjoy it very much thanks to the flexibilty it offers although I plan to update it soon, the article you linked about your interview is indeed fascinating and I am honored to learn from your experiences

Many thanks for your views about this piece + and for the share about your work flow along side the "Free Lightroom Presets" you mentioned

Im honored that you find tranquilty in this picture, thats how I also felt when I had the chance to take this shot while on vacation with my family

Yes it is, very clean in that area too

This was taken at Palawan (namely Coron) in the Philippines, we live in a tropical environment and the provinces portray it the best

Wonderful shot. Makes me want to be on Bonaire. I should raw a lot. I combine Raw with .jpeg as I am still insecure with raw, but what work I have done with it, the results are amazing. Yours are, also.

Why thank you, I am honored that you like this piece very much

Raw is just amazing and I am very happy with the results but at times I noticed that adobe lightroom version 1.3 has an issue with the fujifilm cam I use (S6500fd) which gives me insecurities as well with RAW

I experience adobe changing the colors of my shots (vivd colors are muted by adobe) whenever I drag the picture I chose to lightroom and as a result I have to make sure I have my cam turned on with the original picture on the lcd so as to calibrate the lcd's result with lightroom. And somehow I found it interesting yet cumbersome and time consuming But using another software (Fujifilms provided RAW converter) I experience no problems with the colors for that program does not mute the colors displayed on my cam.

Do you also experience some problems with RAW imports? Im interested to listen to any story you have

You should read what Steves Digicams ([link] ) has to say about Fujifilms digicams. Some of them seem to have an issue. I think he has hit the nail on the head for the frustration. I use lightroom (there is now an upgrade to 1.4.1), and I have had no problems. There is another free ware to use called IrfanView. Once you down load it you need to down load plugins, but it will read raw just fine, and for a free raw reader, it is great.

Give the reading and the IrfanView a shot and let me know what you think. Good luck.

Thanks my friend, I will look into the link you have given me

I was also thinking about the upgrade for they are well updated, the Irfanview sounds interesting and I will look into that as well.

Many thanks again my friend!

Beautiful! Very peaceful.

The more you use RAW, the more you will learn to use it to improve your shooting style. I only shoot in RAW. The flexibility to make changes after the fact unlike JPG can make a world of difference in a photo will post-processing images.

I see, hmmmm. You can try visiting the tropics or the sea scape closest to you, there are a lot of scenes like that and Coron is one of them which is located here in the Philippines by Palawan ^_^
