am learning to use openCanvas (trial version, d latest one) nowadays. and i got good news & bad news to tell you:The good news: in no time i just fell in love with OC *3*
The bad news: Yeah, there's a bug in this OC version that says, "Bad data" and i cant save/finish my work anymore. TT__TT
oh well, gotta find version 3.03 plus instead. Hiiiiyyaaa!!!

i am very a digital art newb so to speak lol, so i have a question to ask: could i create something like this through photoshop or would it be better to use the same programme as yourself?

creating the effect watercolor in photoshop is possible i think oO;;. But i suggest you OpenCanvas is alot more fun in creating the effect. I've seen lots of beautiful artwork made in OC. here's the link--> [link]
you also can download the trial version. try it. Just remember to switch it to English
the only thing dat i want now is a wacom tablet. I'd die to use it in OC!!!
